You might be wondering how I got here...
I was the girl running around, filming with a camera at age 6. I was the girl spending hours every day editing pointless YouTube videos (before it was cool) at age 9. I was the lead in the school play, the aspiring filmmaker, writer and outside-the-box thinker.
Then high school happened and I lost myself in mediocrity. I wanted to fit in because I never felt like I did, and in doing so I lost a big part of who I was.
I focused all of my energy on achieving a full volleyball scholarship to a DI school (which I did) because I thought that would make me happy (it didn't).
I left school, became a mom and started my career in marketing at a software startup outside of D.C.
I became obsessed with online marketing, and eventually I began to realize how dry and forgettable so many brands were simply because they were all copying the same formulas they believed were proven to work.
The brands who could spark some sort of emotion in me were the ones I remembered, came back to and ultimately forked over money for.
By blending traditional storytelling (taking elements from on-screen and off-screen communication) with traditional marketing you can create a remarkable and memorable experience for your end user (readers, viewers, customers, etc).
So I started building, planning, creating. I set off on this journey to share my newfound philosophy with the world, but more importantly, with you - the creative, passionate, greatness-seeker who's reading all of this.
